Ajay Kumar Mishra is a full Professor at the Nanotechnology and Water Sustainability Research Unit at College of Science, Engineering & Technology, University of South Africa, Florida Science Campus, South Africa. He received his B. Sc, M. Sc., degrees in 1997 and 2001 respectively from Purvanchal University Jaunpur, India and M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in 2003 and 2007, respectively, from The University of Delhi, India. From March 2006 to September 2009, he was postdoctoral fellows at various South African Institutes/Universities. In addition, he was appointed as “Senior Lecturer” in October 2009 at the Department of Applied Chemistry, University of Johannesburg, South Africa where he was promoted to “Associate Professor” in November 2011 until December 2014. Recently, he was appointed by University of South Africa as “Full Professor” since January 2015. He is also working as “Adjunct Professor” at Jiangsu University, China. His research interests include synthesis of multifunctional nano-materials, nano-composites, biopolymer and/or petrochemical based biodegradable polymers, polymers based materials/composites, smart materials, CNT and graphene based composite materials and water research. He has authored over 100 scientific papers. He has hosted several visiting researchers/scientists/postdocs in his group. He has also developed a number of collaborations worldwide. He has delivered a number of including Plenary/Keynote/Invited Lectures. For his outstanding research profile, he was awarded a number of international awards. Prof. Mishra also served as Associate Editor as well as member of the editorial board of many peer-reviewed international journals. He has edited several books by the renowned publishers and also reviewer of many international journals. He is serving as member advisory board of a number of international scientific societies, conferences and workshops.

Marek Trojanowicz received M.Sc., Ph.D. and D.Sci. (habilitation) degrees in Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw. M.Sc. under supervision of Prof. Wiktor Kemula, Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Adam Hulanicki. His post-doc one year stay was in Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, in research group of Prof. Nobuyuki Tanaka. In years 1966-2014 his academic activity from research assistant position to full professorship was in Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw. Currently he is employed as Professor of Chemistry in the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology in Warsaw, Poland. He is author of 340 scientific papers, 2 monographic books and editor of 1 book in the field of flow analysis and automation of analytical measurements. He is recipient of prestigious Świętosławski Award of University of Warsaw for achievements in field of analytical chemistry, Kemula Medal of Polish Chemical Society and Scientific Honor Award of Japanese Society of Flow Injection Analysis. He was granted Visiting Professor positions in numerous universities all over the world including long-term appointments in University of Michigan, University of California at Riverside, University of Tasmania, Australia and University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is member of advisory boards of 10 international analytical journals and for 15 years he was a Scientific Secretary of Committee on Analytical Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences. His current number of citations according to ISI Web of Knowledge is about 5400, and Hirsch index 38.

His expertise includes design of electrochemical sensors and biosensors, flow analysis, liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis, environmental analysis, application of ionizing radiation for water and waste treatment and application of chemical analysis in archaeometry.

Buxing Han, professor at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS); Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry. He received B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Science and Technology in 1982, M.S. degree in Inorganic Chemistry at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS in 1985, Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry at Institute of Chemistry, CAS in 1988, and did postdoctoral research in Chemical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada from 1989 to 1991. He was associate professor at Institute of Chemistry, CAS during 1991-1993, and has been a professor at the Institute since 1993. He has published more than 600 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as Science, Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., and the papers have been cited more than 20000 times. He has also published 30 patents, and has presented more than 100 plenary or invited lectures at different conferences. He is former Chairman of Subcommittee on Green Chemistry of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and former Titular Member of Division III of IUPAC. He is a Chief Scientist of China Innovation Think Tank; Vice president of Energy Technology Industry Association of China; Chairman of Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis Committee, Chinese Chemical Society. He is Associate Editors of Green Chem., and is serving more than 10 other peer-reviewed scientific journals as Associate Editor, Editorial Board member or International Advisory Board member, such as Chem. Sci., ChemSusChem, J. Supercritical Fluids.

His research interests include physicochemical properties of green solvent systems and application of green solvents in green chemistry, especially on transformation of CO2 and biomass into valuable chemicals and fuels

Anton V. Dolzhenko received his degree (with Distinction) in Pharmacy in 2000 and then a PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry in 2004, both from the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy (Russia). After that he joined National University of Singapore and worked there for 6 years before he moved to the School of Pharmacy, Curtin University (Australia) in 2010 and continued his academic career as a Senior Lecturer. In 2013, he joined Monash University Malaysia, where he has been working as an Associate Professor and the Deputy Head (Research) of School of Pharmacy. He also acts as the Director of the NMR Campus Infrastructure Platform, which he established in the campus. His current research interests include synthetic and structural aspects of chemistry of nitrogen heterocycles. He has been actively working on the development of new synthetic methods for the preparation of potentially bioactive heterocyclic compounds. He is particularly interested in green chemistry approaches for drug discovery

Professor Takashiro Akitsu received Ph.D. degree at Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Osaka University in 2000, and did postdoctoral research from 2000 to 2002 at Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University. He was appointed as an assistant professor at Department of Chemistry, Keio University in 2002 (during it, studied at Department of Chemistry, Stanford University from 2007 to 2008). He moved to Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science Division II, Tokyo University of Science in 2008 as a junior associate professor, and there promoted to an associate professor in 2012, and was a full professor since 2016. He has published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has presented more than 10 invited lectures at different conferences.

His research interests include physical inorganic chemistry of coordination compounds (chiral Schiff base metal complexes) and their hybrid functional materials applied for energy and environmental chemistry (catalysts and solar or fuel cells components).

Lavinia BALAN obtained the PhD degree from the University Henry Poincaré in Nancy, France, in 2005. Her PhD was devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. After a post doctorate in Orleans and then in Mulhouse, she joined the Department of Photochemistry of Mulhouse in 2006 as a CNRS Senior Researcher. She opened a new field of research in this laboratory, viz. the photo-assisted synthesis of metal nanoparticles and metal-polymer nanocomposite. Since December 2009, L. Balan joined the Institute of Materials Science of Mulhouse (IS2M)-CNRS. She has published more than 100 scientific publications, 4 book chapters and 5 patents. Dr. L. Balan has been serving as an editorial board member for few scientific journals.

L. Balan research are concerned with photochemical synthesis of metal/polymer nanocomposites and design, customization and characterization of metal nanoparticles and nanocrystals (quantum dots) suited for advanced applications in the fields of optic, photonics, plasmonics, imaging or biology.

Professor Dr. Nasrallah M. Deraz is Professor of Advanced Nanomaterials Chemistry and Catalysis at National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt. He received B. Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Physical Chemistry (Solid State, Surface Chemistry and Catalysis) in 1990, 1996 and 1999, respectively, from College of science, Zagazig University, Egypt. However, he received B. Law in 2005 from College of Laws, Zagazig University, Egypt. He joined Physical Chemistry Department, Laboratory of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt, since 1992 till now. He was awarded a Post- doctoral fellowship in 2004 to Institute of Materials Science, Structure Research, Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He joined Chemistry Department, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since 2009 till 2013. Deraz has published more than 80 papers in refereed journals. He has supervised M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis in Egyptian universities. He is a member of the various scientific societies. However, he is reviewer and member of editorial board for different international scientific journals.

Professor Deraz's research focuses on various aspects of solid state, surface chemistry and catalysis. One topic of research is solid-state chemistry and nano-structured materials. The second topic is surface chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis. The third topic is science and technology of advanced nano-materials.

Nikolai Boshkov is a professor and Head of Department of Electrochemistry and Corrosion at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) – Institute of Physical Chemistry (IPC-BAS), Bulgaria. He received the M.Sc. degree in Electrochemistry and Corrosion from Chemical-Technical and Metallurgical University – Sofia in 1984 and Ph.D. degrees in Electrochemistry from Institute of Physical Chemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria in 2004. He was Senior Researcher (Associated Professor)at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS)–Institute of Physical Chemistry (IPC-BAS) during 2004-2016 and has been a professor at the Institute since 2017.In addition, he is the Member of the International Association of Advanced Materials.He is the author and co-author of more than 90 scientific publications in journals and at conferences .Apart from that he is Reviewer in domestic (“Bulgarian Chemical Communications”) and international journals “Surface and Coatings Technology”,“Materials Chemistry and Physics”,“Electrochimica Acta”, “Journal of Applied Electrochemistry”, “Journal of Alloys and Compounds” and many more.

His research interests include Electro deposition of metals and alloys, Environmentally friendly Cr(III) and chromium free solutions for conversion coatings, Nanostructured composite systems based on metallic materials with incorporated particles of organic polymers and co-polymers, Anodic behavior, passive state and corrosion characterization of metallic materials, Surface treatment and chemical passivation, Multilayer systems with increased corrosion resistance and protective ability.

Prof. Şener has been graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1974 as the First Degree. She has completed her Ph.D. awarded by the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) at the Department of Pharmacognosy in 1977. In 1981, she became an Associate Professor. She was involved within the process of establishing Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University in 1982. She became a full Professor in 1988. She achieved some researches at the Department of Chemistry, The Pennsylvania State University (USA) between 1986 and 1988 as Visiting scientist awarded by National Science Foundation. Prof. Şener also involved several administrative works at Gazi University; as Director at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University between 1982 and 2002, as Chair at Division of the Professional Sciences of Pharmacy, as Co-Director at the Institute of Health Sciences (1988-1994) and as Dean at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University (1994-1997). She has won 21 awards from national and international institutions. Bilge Şener was given the degree of “Adjunct Professor” by University of Karachi –Pakistan. She has worked as Director in 48 projects supported by NATO, NSF, IUPAC, Soctrates-Grundtvig, TUBITAK and Universirty Research Funds by now. She has authored or co-authored 12 books, 77 chapters and 351 research articles published in leading international journals. She has also given 68 conferences and 256 plenary and invited lectures at the international symposia in the field of natural product chemistry. She has supervised 5 Ph.D., 13 M.Sc. at Gazi University as well as co-supervised 17 Ph.D. thesis at the University of Karachi. She is a member for 14 international and national professional societies. She has organized the VIth Symposium on Plant Originated Crude Drugs, May 16-19,1986, in Ankara, the 3rd IUPAC International Conference on Biodiversity (ICOB-3), Nov.3-8, 2001, in Antalya and the 9th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences (EuAs C2S-9), September 9-13, 2006, in Antalya. She recently organized the IUPAC 29th International Conference on Natural Products (ISCNP-29) and the 9th International Conference on Biodiversity(ICOB-9) in İzmir during the period of September 24-27, 2016. She was the Vice-Chair of the 14th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences (EuAs C2S-14), December 15-18, 2016 in Karachi-Pakistan. In the Ministry of Health, Prof. Şener worked in registration of medicines as a member of Main Scientific Board of Drug Registration between 1994 and 2002, as Chair at Main Board for Phytopharmaceutics, Nutraceuticals and Dietary supplements Licensing since 2000. She has served as Turkish delegate for the Commission of the European Pharmacopoeia during 2011-2016. She has been working as full-time professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University.

Her main research field is development of bioactive compounds from Turkish medicinal plants and marine organisms, evaluation and standardization of Phytopharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals.
